Narcotics Arrest

On July 30th, 2019, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigation Section with the assistance from its High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) partners, the Frederick Police Drug Enforcement Unit, Maryland State Police, and Brunswick Police, executed a search and seizure warrant in the 200 block of Maple Avenue in Frederick related to a narcotics investigation. The investigation stemmed from complaints of drug activity at the residence. The property was searched and the following was located:

  • Crack/Cocaine: 154 individual baggies (4.6 ounces)
  • Digital Scales
  • U.S. Currency: $2,102.00

The cocaine and crack/cocaine had an estimated street value of $15,000. Franklin William Randolph, 49, of Frederick, was arrested and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center as a result of the investigation. Randolph was charged with the following:

  • CDS: Possession-Cocaine
  • CDS: Possession-Crack Cocaine
  • CDS: Poss. w/intent to distribute Cocaine
  • CDS: Poss. w/intent to distribute Crack/Cocaine
  • CDS: Poss. paraphernalia (2 counts)
