Read MoreTonight, the Walkersville Planning Commission will review preliminary plans for the development of the Bell Farm MD 194 and Fountain Rock Road. The Planning Commission hearing will be held in the Walkersville Town Hall hearing room at 7:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend and provide input at Planning Commission meetings. The developer plans to construct 102 homes. The property adjoins Walkersville Elementary School. The development’s entrance will be a shared road with the elementary school and Walkersville High School. There will be another entrance on Fountain Rock Road.

The small restaurant at the corner of Main Street and Frederick Street never seemed very busy. For over a year now, the property serves no purpose outside of an eyesore for the community.
