The Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company has released its schedule for the 75th Annual Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company Carnival. The carnival runs Monday, June 30th through Saturday, July 5th. There will be three “Ride All Night” specials during the week. Those nights will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Walkersville Carnival Ride-All-Night Pre-Sale

The Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company announces the Pre-Sale Dates for Ride-All-Night tickets. Tickets will cost $12 instead of $25 the night of the special. Ride-All-Night will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. on June 30th, July 2nd, and July 4th. Pre-Sale Tickets can be purchased on the following dates: June 21st 9:00 – 12:00 June 22nd 13:00 – 15:00 June 28th 9:00 – 12:00 at the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company’s Carnival Grounds. Tickets can also be purchased by mail using this form.

The Staley Family of Walkersville will propose a site plan for four four-unit condominium buildings to the Walkersville Planning Commission on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Tuesday evening’s meeting will not be the first time for a proposal to the Planning Commission, but it will be the first time going as far as a site plan review. The Town of Walkersville’s Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 27, 2013 to consider reducing lot size requirements for mixed use properties in the Old Town Mixed Use District. Days after GladeValley.net listed developments under review by the Walkersville Planning Commission, Verdant Development Group asked for a preliminary discussion and comments on a proposed development, Parkside, on Biggs Ford Road. The property lies south of Biggs Ford Road just before Kenneth Drive, and had been listed for sale a few months ago, and had been a working farm.
