Steeple Down
Fredericktowne Baptist Church’s steeple is down on the ground this week. The church on Biggs Ford Road in Walkersville is receiving some extra care and maintenance on its topside. The repairs to the roof required the removal of the large white steeple. So, crews set the steeple, which more than doubles the height of the church, down in the parking lot. “It does make you take a double-take as you go by,” one resident told us as she jogged by the church this morning.
