Maryland State Police are continuing to investigate after charging a man with impersonating a police officer last week in Frederick County. The suspect, James Coons, 57, of Frederick, Maryland, is charged with impersonating a police officer and driving with a visible red and/or blue lamp on his vehicle. The criminal summons was issued by the Frederick County District Court on Nov. 4. Bennie Duncan Road Closed to Traffic

The Frederick County Office of Transportation Engineering announced today that Bennie Duncan Road will be closed starting from 0.7 miles from Hoffman-Seachrist Road and Cabbage Run Road on or about November 12, 2019. This will allow the contractor, LW Wolfe Enterprises, Inc., to repair the roadway. The work is scheduled to last approximately six weeks until December 20, 2019, weather permitting. The work includes pavement deep patching and resurfacing, reinforcing earth slope, and turf grass establishment. A signed detour route will be in place during the road closure. The detour…
