Governor Hogan Loosens Restrictions
Maryland Governor Larry Hogan announced this afternoon that hospitalizations and deaths as a result of COVID-19 cases leveled off and fell slightly over the past seven days. “Overall, we are down slightly from where we were a week ago. Even more encouraging is that our ICU numbers have been basically flat, level at a plateau for eight straight days. Maryland Schools Closed; Distance Learning Continues
Maryland State Department of Education Superintendent Dr. Karen Salmon announced this afternoon that schools will be closed for the remainder of the year. Dr. Salmon also presented a recovery plan for school systems. School systems can use the plan to help get students back on track to meet educational goals. The plan offers choices for modified schedules, small group learning, and more once Maryland is able to progress to its second phase and beyond for re-opening.
