Read MoreMaryland State Police have arrested and charged a suspect in connection with a kidnapping and assault that occurred this afternoon outside Maximum Fitness 24, a fitness gym at the Discovery Shopping Center. The suspect is identified as Jason M. Bittner, 35, of Woodbine, Maryland. He is charged with kidnapping, second degree assault and reckless endangerment. Bittner has been taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for processing and to await an initial appearance before a court commissioner.
