ETHICS COMMISSION: The commission administers the Code of Ethics, Chapter 26 of the Town Code. They review Financial Disclosure Forms, conflicts of interest, and insure that the Town is in compliance with State of Maryland ethics requirements. The Frederick Agricultural Land Preservation Program has opened up an application cycle for the Frederick County Critical Farms Program. The Critical Farms Program assists full-time farmers in purchasing new farmland and also works to preserve the land. Frederick County is one of only two jurisdictions in Maryland with a Critical Farms Program. Since the county program began in 1994, it has assisted 37 farmers in acquiring farms and preserved more than 4,600 acres of farmland.
