Dr. David James Munroe, of Walkersville, passed away on Wednesday June 14th at the age of 60, He grew up in Medfield, Massachusetts and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Massachusetts where he competed on the football team. He received his doctorate in Genomics from the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester and completed his post-doctoral fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Griffin Walker Chapman, age 81, of New Midway, died Monday, June 19, 2017 at his daughter’s residence in Warrenton, VA. Born August 10, 1935 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Walker and Rebecca Mantz Chapman. He was the husband of Mary “Maddie” Davis Chapman who died in 2005. Mr. Chapman was of the Methodist faith. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958 and later served in the Army Reserves for three years. Mr. John Francis Kennedy, Jr., age 79, of Walkersville, died Monday, June 19, 2017. Born October 22, 1937 in Frederick, he was the son of the late John F. Kennedy Sr. and Daisy Hutts Kennedy. He was the husband of Sharon Smith Kennedy for more than 55 years. Mr. Kennedy was a 1956 graduate of St. John the Evangelist School on E. Second St., Frederick and he also attended the church. He then served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a lance corporal and was discharged on January 29, 1964.…
