Parkside Development Rising

A lot of activity has been taking place along Biggs Ford Road in Walkersville. The Parkside development saw curbs installed for the new streets serving the new community early this week. By Friday evening, the walls of the second floor were erected on the development’s first house. Parkside will add twenty-three new homes to Walkersville, and features the renovation of the farm house along Biggs Ford Road which will represent one of the twenty-four lots. Women’s Giving Circle Provides $190,000 in Grants

The Women’s Giving Circle of Frederick County announces that 35 grants totaling $190,000 have been presented to 22 area nonprofits serving women and children. The grants were presented during the 12th annual tea held in June. The Women’s Giving Circle of Frederick County Fund is one of more than 690 component funds of The Community Foundation of Frederick County.
