Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company Purchases New Pumper
The Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company recently signed a contract with Atlantic Emergency Solutions to purchase a 2021 Pierce Manufacturing custom pumper truck. The new pumper replaces a 1994 pumper that the fire company says is “degenerating.” In its announcement cancelling the annual carnival, the Fire Company estimated the cost of the new pumper at around $600,000.
