Dorothy Anne Leach
Mrs. Dorothy Anne Leach, 87, formerly of Walkersville, MD passed away on August 12, 2017 at Clarion Hospital in Clarion, PA. She was the wife of the late John T. Leach, Sr., who passed in 2005.
Mrs. Leach was a devout Catholic, and helped charter the Franciscan Order in Emmitsburg, MD. She was the matriarch of her family, and leaves to cherish her memory seven children, Regina Connors, John T. Leach, Jr., Michael G. Leach, Sr. &, Patricia Marshall & husband Neal, Loretta Leach, David A. Leach & wife Angie, and Billie Jo Sier & husband Leonard; 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives. In addition to her loving husband, Mrs. Leach was preceded in death by two children, Kathy Anne Sines and James Lee Leach; all eight of her siblings; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18th from 7 – 9 PM in the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N in Frederick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 19th at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Road, Walkersville, MD. Interment will follow in the Veterans Garden of Honor II at Resthaven. Floral tributes are welcome.
