Search and Seizure Warrant Leads to Narcotics Arrest

On January 16th, 2019, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigation Section, assisted by the Frederick Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit and the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office Proactive Criminal Enforcement Team (P.A.C.E), executed a search and seizure warrant in the 5300 block of Regal Court in Frederick. The culmination of an investigation related to one individual led to the execution of four search warrants.

The following items were located and seized as a result of the search warrants:

  • Marijuana: 2576.8 grams
  • Molly (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine): 1236.8 grams
  • Crack/Cocaine: 290.6 grams
  • Marijuana Wax: 237.4 grams
  • Marijuana Hash: 31 grams
  • Marijuana Edibles: 1000 grams
  • THC Vape Cartridges: 332 individual
  • Methadone pills: 4
  • 3 Handguns
  • 1 Rifle
  • 1000 rounds of ammunition
  • $14,078.00 U.S. Currency

Ryan Given Young, 24, of Frederick was arrested and charged with the following:

  1. Possession with intent to distribute Cocaine
  2. Possession of Cocaine
  3. Possession with intent to distribute Cocaine within 1000 feet of school zone
  4. Possession of THC Vaporizer Cartridges
  5. Possession with intent to distribute Methylenedioxymethamphetamine
  6. Possession of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine
  7. Possession with intent to distribute Methylenedioxymethamphetamine within 1000 feet of school zone
  8. Possession with intent to distribute Marijuana within 1000 feet of school zone
  9. Possession with intent to distribute Marijuana/Edibles
  10. Possession with intent to distribute Marijuana/Edibles within 1000 feet of school zone
  11. Possession of a firearm after felony conviction of CDS possession with intent to distribute
  12. Possession of a regulated firearm after felony conviction of CDS possession with intent to distribute
  13. Possession of ammunition after being prohibited from possessing regulated firearm
  14. Possession of a firearm in relation to drug trafficking crime
  15. Possession of a firearm after felony conviction
  16. Possession of a regulated firearm after violation of 5-602 Criminal Law Article
  17. Possession of a magazine with capacity of 10 rounds of ammo in commission of felony
  18. Possession of a rifle while being addicted to any CDS /or is a habitual user
  19. Possession of a rifle after violation of 5-602 Criminal Law Article

Andrew Justice Brown, 23, of Frederick, was located inside the residence on Regal Court during the execution of the search warrant. He was charged with the following:

  1. Possession with intent to distribute Cocaine
  2. Possession of Cocaine
  3. Possession with intent to distribute Marijuana/Edibles
  4. Possession of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine
  5. Possession with intent to distribute Methylenedioxymethamphetamine
  6. Possession with intent to distribute Cocaine within 1000 feet of school zone
  7. Possession with intent to distribute Methylenedioxymethamphetamine within 1000 feet of school zone
  8. Possession with intent to distribute Marijuana/Edibles within 1000 feet of school zone

The estimated street value of the narcotics seized is between $60,000 and $100,000. Both Young and Brown were transported and released to the custody of the Frederick County Adult Detention Center where they were processed and charged.
