The Frederick County Board of Health convened on Tuesday, November 24 to hear an update on COVID-19 in Frederick County and set revised health regulations. Regulation 02-2020 was approved by the Board of Health 5 to 3 and goes into effect in Frederick County at 5pm on Friday, November 27, 2020. Regulation 02-2020 sought to clarify BOH 01-2020 which was approved on November 12. Woodsboro Stabbing & Theft Suspect Arrested

Detectives with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) arrested Stephen Zimmerman, age 25, from Frederick, for charges of second degree assault, reckless endangerment, theft between $100 and $1,500, and unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. On Sunday, Nov. 22, at approximately 9:30 p.m., FCSO deputies responded to Evelyn Drive in Woodsboro, Maryland, in reference to a stabbing and stolen vehicle report. Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to Frederick Health Hospital (FHH) with multiple non-life threatening stab wounds.
