**PARKS COMMISSION OPENING** The Town is currently looking to fill one position on the Parks Commission. The Parks Commission recommends policies and procedures, purchases and upgrades, and uses and activities for the town parks. The commission meets the first Wednesday of the month. This is an advisory committee to the Burgess and Commissioners, and members serve 2-year terms. No experience is required, but you must be a Walkersville resident. Town of Walkersville MS4 Meeting
There will be an MS4 meeting held next Tuesday, April 11, at 2pm in the Town Hall meeting room. This meeting will be with the HOA’s of Deerfield, Glade Town, and Colony Village, discussing possible storm water management projects for their properties. The Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit is a permit administered by the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) in order to carry out the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program implemented by the Federal Clean Water Act (CWA). The meeting is open to the public.
