Author: Annie Moreno

My name is Annie Moreno, and although it is only my second year at this school, I am finally a senior at Walkersville High School this year. I am 17 years old and a performer, a writer, an athlete, and a lifeguard. I took journalism last year as well and I absolutely fell in love with it! It is one of my passions and it may even be what I want to do for a living! Because of this I try and take every one of my articles very seriously, and I always try my best to act professionally while interviewing people. Journalism would be a pleasant profession because you have the power to change the world, simply by exposing both admirable and distressing happenings. I feel as though journalism helps keep an open mind by interviewing a great deal of variable individuals, being knowledgeable about what is persisting in the world, and learning to write with an unbiased opinion. I try to learn as much as I can from Mr. Reickel about journalism. I hope to someday become an international or broadcast journalist, with a minor in musical theatre or voice performance. The sport that I am most passionate about is swimming. I like it because it is challenging, keeps me fit, and is a good way to make friends. I prefer individual sports more because it is up to you, and only you, to prove what you are capable of without having to wait for someone else to give you the chance first. I hope to participate in my college swim team, and maybe much later in my life become a coach. I am really excited for my senior year, life after high school, all of the groovy articles I will have the chance to write this year, all of the new people I will get to interview, and all of the wonderful articles I may have the chance to write in the future.
