Woodsboro Memorial Day Parade
Looking for a bit of family fun and a way to honor the memories of those who have sacrificed for our nation this weekend?
If so, you need look no further than Woodsboro. The American Legion hosts a wreath-laying ceremony at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning at Woodsboro’s War Memorial.
Later in the day, the Woodsboro Memorial Day Parade entertains those along the route while honoring America’s Heroes. The parade begins at 1:30 p.m. at the Mount Hope Cemetery and winds up Main Street, down Second Street, and up Liberty Road to the American Legion.
Children always enjoy the parade with floats, bands, antique cars, and lots of candy tossed to the audience.
The parades conclusion marks the start of a joint memorial service by the Woodsboro American Legion and Sons of the American Legion. A lunch is served following for participants in the parade.
