Junior Grayson Eyler said, “The season opener is always really exciting and playing against a good team like Oakdale made it a bigger deal. After our two games last week got canceled we were all ready to play. Everyone pitched well and overall it was a good team win which is always a good way to start the season.”

Senior Christian Policelli said, “With our season starting off at home we were all eager to beat Oakdale. The team played well and this game will be good for our confidence going forward with the season.”

Senior Jacob Wetzel added, “Everyone was ready to start the season last week until our two games were canceled. Our team is talented and when we play well we will be hard to beat. We showed that today against Oakdale and hopefully we continue to play well for the rest of the season.”

Junior Jaxson Brust said, “It was big for us to win a close game like this against a good team. We let them back into the game when we had an early lead but overall we played well and were able to pull out the win in the end. I’m glad that I could hit the game winning run home for us.”
