Walkersville Community Show Highlights Our Heritage
WHS Lions Pride Original Story:
by Jon Shorrow
The Walkersville community show is a staple in Walkersville for students, teachers, and townspeople alike.
“The community enters in baked goods, pictures, and other things and you can win small prizes for winning things such as first place gets $5.” Wyatt Wagner.
Not only is there the general things such as baked goods and veggies, there are sub categories to bring much more variety to the show. When asked about what the community show was, Doug Smith said “It is where the community get together and show what they make.”
To many people, it is a true honor to win an award at the show and to show the communities theirwork. Because of the gym being renovated, the communities show is in the senior cafeteria and down in the agriculture workshop.
If you would like to come out and support your Walkersville community, come by and look around a bit tonight. There is a dinner tonight at 6pm in the cafeteria.
