Walkersville 4-H’er Crowned 50th 4-H Queen
Ashley Fuss, Walkersville 4-H Club member and Walkersville High School graduate, was crowned the fiftieth Frederick County 4-H Queen. The Frederick County 4-H Royalty Contest began forty-nine years ago at The Great Frederick Fair. Friday night, The Great Frederick Fair hosted the fiftieth contest.
Ms. Fuss, daughter of David and Christy Fuss, was one of three young ladies vying for the title of 4-H Queen. Each submitted their resumes and 4-H Record Books, were interviewed by judges, and were judged on their stage presence and public speaking skills in front of hundreds of spectators. Ms. Fuss presented herself very professionally and answered questions from a fishbowl with ease.
Chase Ferguson of Walkersville was named first runner-up to the Frederick County 4-H King, Garret Buckmeier. Mr. Ferguson will now hold the title of 4-H Prince. He presented himself very well.
