Prudential Spirit of the Community Award Nominees Sought
Once again, The Prudential Spirit of the Community Awards is searching for two Maryland students to recognize for their meaningful contributions to their communities through service. Students in grades 5-12 are eligible to apply for service they have provided during the past 12 months. This is a great opportunity to showcase some of the important work youth are doing in Maryland to strengthen their communities.
State Honorees receive $1,000, medallions, and all-expense-paid trips to Washington, D.C. for the 20th annual national recognition events. These prestigious awards are sponsored by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).
Applications for 2015 awards must be completed online by November 4, 2014, then submitted for certification to a middle or high school principal, Girl Scout Council, 4-H agent, American Red Cross chapter, YMCA, or HandsOn Network affiliate. Paper application forms can be request by calling 887-525-8491.
