Primary Election Day
Today is Primary Election Day! So, get out there and vote!
You do not have to belong to a political party to vote in Maryland’s Primary Election. Non-partisan offices on the ballot are open to all registered voters. Some of these offices will be decided today as only two candidates are on the ballot.
Today’s election marks the first in Frederick County’s history. Voters will elect nominees from each party for a county executive, two at-large county council members, and a county council member for each of the five council districts.
Voters will elect nominees for:
- Governor & Lt. Governor
- Comptroller
- Attorney General
- U.S. House of Representatives
- Maryland Senate
- House of Delegates
- County Executive
- County Council
- Judge of the Circuit Court
- State’s Attorney
- Clerk of the Circuit Court
- Register of Wills
- Judges of the Orphans’ Court
- Frederick County Sheriff
- Board of Education
- Each of the Party’s Central Committees
Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. To find your polling place, click here.
