Frederick County Sheriff’s Office made a strong show in Walkersville Tuesday morning. Residents were surprised by “SWAT Teams” blocking West Frederick Street and Fulton Avenue. Local radio personality, Bob Miller, even asked on social media what was going on in Walkersville. The target of law enforcment was a home in the second block of West Frederick Street. At least one arrest was made, though no press release has been issued by the Maryland State Police or the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.

Chantel Jensen was charged by the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office with two counts of possession of a controlled substance – not marijuana, and one count of obstructing and hindering. The home raided by police belongs to Ms. Jensen’s parents.

Ms. Jensen’s record of drug related charges reach back to 2008. Tuesday’s charges will bring her total of drug related charges in Maryland to ten. Other charges over the past nine years include theft, trespassing, driving on a suspended license, assault, malicious destruction of property, harassment, littering, failing to comply with a lawful order, and failure to comply with a peace order.

Over twenty charges for failing to comply with a peace order, littering and harassment come from complaints by neighbors.

Of more than fifty criminal charges brought against Ms. Jensen in the past nine years, she was found guilty on one charge of driving on a suspended license. All other charges resulted in a probation before judgement, a plea, a decision not to prosecute, or are pending.
