feature - Mrs. Fink Story FeatureEach year WHS is always welcoming to new students and staff. New teacher Stephanie Fink shares her thoughts about what it’s been like as an English teacher at WHS, or in fact her first year as a teacher overall.

“I love it here, love the people, great students, it’s just a great place to be,” said Fink. Fink shared that being a teacher was always what she wanted to do, even as a little girl, “ Oh yeah whenever I would play school with my grandmother I would always play the teacher,” said Fink. By attending college at UMD and Shepherd University she was able to make her dream come true.

Fink shared that she also had an internship at Middletown Elementary’s counseling center her senior year of high school. Fink was a Middletown High School graduate and most definitely had a love for sports. “I played basketball and soccer in high school and now I’m currently coaching for the Middletown girls basketball team, I also coached Brunswick last year,” said Fink.

Fink is very excited to be teaching here at WHS. She loves being able to connect with her students and build some good relationships. “The interaction with people is what I love most, I would hate to sit in a cubicle all day.” said Fink.

Fink hopes to keep a well organized and “staying on top of things” type learning environment, but also to make it fun for all! She loves hearing feedback from her students about what’s working and what doesn’t. “ My biggest goal is being able to always maintain a good balance of learning but making it fun at the same time!” said Fink.
