Fast and Furious Storm
A very fast and furious storm ripped through the area with winds exceeding 60 miles per hour, lightning, and heavy rain. Temperatures dropped twenty degrees in a matter of minutes. Some witnesses claimed to see a tornado.
Trees were torn apart and toppled. Power lines and communications were down all over Frederick
County.
At 10 p.m., Potomac Edison reported as many as 3,100 customers without power in Glade Valley. Comcast estimated customers may be without service until midmorning Wednesday.
