The Walkersville Lions varsity boy’s soccer team are on a streak that doesn’t appear to be ending anytime soon. With their 2-1 victory over Williamsport they advanced to 3-0.

The Lions are rolling through every opponent and whether it’s a goal from behind that helps them tie and eventually beat their opponent, or they just shut them out. Wednesday night was a mix of both with scores from freshman Spencer Shortt and senior Sam Friedman, and solid defense in the goal by junior Alex Moore.

“My team fought hard,” said Michael MacCracken.  “It was a great win for the whole team.  Our defense played really well,” said Garrett Allen.

Friedman scored off a corner when the ball was being deflected around in the box, and kicked it straight to the back of the net. “I was really excited to help me team win” said Friedman.  Shortt scored next when he stole the ball from a defender and shot it past the goalie. Moore had six saves for the Lions.
