Burgess Chad Weddle and Town Commissioner Debbie Zimmerman were inducted into the Maryland Municipal League’s Hall of Fame. The Maryland Municipal League honors officials who have served over twenty years to municipal governments. To date, only two-hundred sixty people have been honored with induction to the Hall of Fame.
Burgess Chad Weddle was first elected a Walkersville Town Commissioner in 1996. He was re-elected seven times to that position. In 2015, Weddle was elected to his first term as Burgess.
Town Commissioner Debbie Zimmerman was also first elected Town Commissioner in 1996. She was re-elected to this position eight times. Earlier this year, Commissioner Zimmerman announced that she would not be seeking re-election this year.
