Shooting Incident at Linganore Road

On Wednesday, March 6th, at about 11:25 a.m., the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office received information that an adult male had recently arrived at Frederick Memorial Hospital with a single gunshot wound. Deputies responded to the male’s residence, in the 7100 block of Linganore Road, and were able to detain another adult male without incident. Sheriff’s Office detectives responded to the scene and interviewed the occupants from the home. Police Seek Help Identifying Shooting Suspect

On Saturday, October 17, 2015, at approximately 11:13 p.m., multiple gunshots were fired in the area of Discovery Boulevard and Stauffer Road. At the time, numerous people were leaving a party being held at the Discovery Recreation Center. Investigators are requesting assistance in identifying the individual, shown here, who is believed to have attended the party. Surveillance video footage indicates that this individual discharged shots from a handgun while near the playground area outside the recreation center. Glade Valley Man Accused of Shooting at Son

Michael Shoemaker, a Glade Valley resident who gained national notoriety several years ago after a domestic dispute in 2009, was arrested Friday morning. Maryland State Police report that Mr. Shoemaker shot at his son Friday morning at their home and family business in the 10000 block of Woodsboro Pike. After consultation with the Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office, Michael Shoemaker, 48 years old, was charged with first degree assault, second degree assault, reckless endangerment and weapons charges.
