At approximately 11:04PM, Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company #11 was dispatched to a reported vehicle fire spreading into the woods in the 8400 block of Water Street RD. B116 arrived on scene to find a pick-up truck fully involved with an estimated 1/2 acre of woods burning as well. B116 called for an additional brush truck to assist with the fire. B116’s crew utilized handlines to extinguish the bulk of the fire. ET114 arrived on scene and staged to supply water to units operating in the woods. Libertytown Volunteer Fire Company’s B175 arrived and assisted with extinguishing hot spots in the woods. Once the fire was extinguished B175, A249, and ET114 returned to service. B116 stayed on scene to assist the Fire Marshal with the investigation. No injuries were reported.

Parking is available on the carnival grounds on a first come, first served basis.
