The Elementary Health Education Curriculum Preview that was originally scheduled for March 2 has been rescheduled for next Monday, March 9.
FCPS invites parents of elementary students and interested community members to an:
Elementary Health Education Curriculum Preview
Four identical sessions are planned to conveniently fit the schedule of those wishing to preview the Health Education units taught in our elementary schools.
The focus of each session will be on the Personal Safety unit that is taught in elementary Health Education classes (grades Pre-K through 3). The FCPS Curriculum Specialist for Elementary Health and Physical Education will also be available to address parents on other elementary school health topics, such as Substance Abuse and Prevention, Disease Prevention, HIV and AIDS education (grade 5 only), and Family Life Education (grade 5 only).
Attendees will have the opportunity to preview lessons and instructional materials associated with each of those topics.
