Mrs. Laura Catherine (Wright) Hawes Morris, 85, passed into the arms of Jesus on November 11, 2017. Born March 25, 1932 in Branchville, MD, she was the daughter of the late William and Eloise Wright. She was married to Boyd K. Hawes of Front Royal, VA from 1950 – 1982, having three sons. She was the principal’s secretary of Walkersville High School for many years and was past president of the American Legion’s Women’s Auxiliary. Stephen Haines Welty, 47, of Walkersville passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017. Steve is the husband of Kelley Phagan Welty and the father of Ethan and Owen.
