Robert Livingston Garst, 78 died peacefully on January 6, 2019 at Frederick Memorial Hospital following a heroic battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was surrounded by his family. Bob Garst was born on November 26, 1940 in Frederick, MD growing up on the family dairy farm. He was the son of the late Rendall Bright Garst & Leida Irene Mercer Garst. Mr. Carroll Lee Houck, 81, of Ridgely, WV and formerly of Clarksburg, MD, passed away on January 4, 2019 at Western Maryland Health Systems in Cumberland. He was the husband of Frankie Childers, his companion of 23 years. Born November 26, 1937 in Woodsboro, MD, Carroll was the son of the late Bruce and Helen Houck. Jean Whitmore, 66, of Walkersville, Maryland, passed away on January 4, 2019 at Northampton Manor after a 7 month battle with leukemia. Born on March 25, 1952 in Frederick, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Ramsburg) Whitmore. Jean was a graduate of Walkersville High School class of 1971.
