Meet the Candidates Night in Walkersville

The Town of Walkersville will have a Meet the Candidates Night on August 16, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Walkersville Library. The program will allow citizens to meet candidates for the 2018 Town of Walkersville Elections being held September 10, 2018. The election will see a lot of change in elected officials this year. Walkersville Election Filing Deadline Approaches

While the rest of the country fixates on the mid-term elections in November, Walkersville residents have an important election looming much sooner. The Town will elect a Burgess and five Town Commissioners on September 10, 2018. The election already proves to change the make-up of the local government dramatically. Parkside Development Quickly Rising

Parkside, a development under construction along Biggs Ford Road in Walkersville, has seen a lot of progress after a long time spent on infrastructure. The two streets with curb and gutter went in a few weeks ago, and the first home went up quickly. Over the past few weeks, more foundations have gone into the ground, and the walls were erected for the first floor of another home. Special One Ticket per Ride for Students at Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company Carnival on Saturday, July 7, 2018. The Saturday night features the Brickyard Road Band on stage.
