Sixteen Year Old on Skateboard Struck and Killed by Truck in Walkersville

A sixteen year old Walkersville High School student died Sunday night after being struck by a pickup truck while riding a skateboard in Walkersville. Maryland State Police report that Jaggar Ezra Lawson was riding his skateboard westbound on Devilbiss Bridge Road at Heritage Farm Park Road when he was struck by a pickup truck, also travelling westbound on Devilbiss Bridge Road. Walkersville Man Killed in Collision on I-70

On Sunday, September 3, 2017 at approximately 6:46 a.m., troopers from the Maryland State Police Frederick Barrack responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on I-70 E/B at the 66 Mile Marker, New Market, Frederick County, MD. Preliminary investigation revealed a 2007 Ford F-350 was traveling eastbound on I-70 at the 66 Mile Marker when the operator for unknown reasons lost control of the vehicle, went off the south side of the roadway and struck a tree. State Highway Work Progressing on U.S. 15

Rutter’s Presents Plan for Old Exxon Property in Walkersville

Rutter’s Farm Store, a convenience store providing food and fuel, plans to move into Walkersville. Representatives from Rutter’s presented plans at the Town of Walkersville’s Planning Commission Public Hearings the past two months. They have not submitted site plans for approval, but concepts for feedback from the Town. The proposed store would be Rutter’s Farm Store’s only Maryland location.
